Marcia Page is a Co-Founder and Chair Emerita of Värde. Marcia co-founded the firm in 1993 and is also Founder and CEO of MPowered Capital, an investment firm established to invest in best-in-class undercapitalized emerging managers in the alternative markets.
As a founder of Värde, Marcia oversaw every aspect of the firm’s growth, ranging from the development of the original investment thesis, to raising capital for Värde’s funds, to the crafting of the firm’s investor communications, to the development of the firm’s infrastructure. Marcia built the liquid investing side of the business, first focusing on all aspects of the day-to-day investing and portfolio management and then building the business on a world-wide basis, including moving to London as she built the liquid side of the business there. Marcia also played key roles in various portfolio companies owned by the Värde funds as well as serving on creditors’ committees. Marcia transitioned from Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer to Executive Chair in 2016 and to Chair Emerita in 2025.
Prior to founding Värde, Marcia served as vice president of EBF & Associates, an alternative investment firm, where she managed Merced Partners, an investment partnership. Prior to EBF & Associates, Marcia traded distressed and high-yield bonds and managed fixed-income portfolios at Cargill.
Moderator
Nancy Vailakis is the principal of Ancram IRBD, a boutique capital formation and investor relations, marketing, and publicity support firm for the private funds industry. Focused primarily on private funds and deals in the private credit and private equity sectors, Nancy has over 18 years of alternative asset management industry experience as a business development, marketing, and investor relations professional, and over 20 years of experience in financial services overall.
Previously, she was a business development director at IQ-EQ, a vice president of investor relations at Cerberus Capital, and a sales and client relations specialist at BlueMountain Capital. She earned her Master of Business Administration from the New York University Stern School of Business and her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Binghamton University.
Nancy is engaged with many non-profit and professional organizations in New York. Additionally, she is a regular industry speaker and a contributing writer to industry publications like Emerging Manager Monthly.
