Our Alliance
Collaborative WIM is a volunteer led organization that focuses on strategic community-building initiatives across the CFA global network to foster connection, collaboration, and engagement among CFA charterholders, candidates, societies, and volunteers. Through programs, events, and partnerships, CWIM strengthens the professional bond within the CFA community, promotes knowledge sharing, and enhances the collective impact of the network worldwide.
The collaboration is comprised of primarily CFA societies and industry groups across the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and Latin America, represented by hundreds of volunteer society leaders globally working together to promote inclusion and empower individuals across all career phases in the finance industry — from students and early career professionals to seasoned industry leaders.
CWIM is a women-founded and volunteer-led 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization.
Women, as the minority in the finance industry globally, are the universal diversifier.
Our Purpose
We believe that fostering inclusion will enable our industry to achieve better investment outcomes— while also ensuring it better serves the varied needs of our society.
The inclusion conversation has never been more urgent, and the reality remains that senior leadership roles do not yet reflect the full range of backgrounds and perspectives present across both the investment industry and broader society. As a result, these professionals often lack the natural mentorship and sponsorship that tends to take place at the middle and senior levels, necessitating that they work harder to establish their own support network.
Our global collaboration intends to fulfill that need.

Creates a unique Collaborative WIM Original program series that provides exceptional professional development guidance and showcases talented leaders of all backgrounds
Co-markets high quality programming created by our participating societies to bring added visibility to the featured speakers and the societies who host them
Showcases and amplifies across our global platform the community building efforts of our participating societies, to aid their success and build momentum for those initiatives at the local, regional and global level
Offers valuable networking opportunities for our global base of finance professionals of all backgrounds
Provides young professionals of all backgrounds access to critical mentorship and career guidance through internship opportunities and mentor programs
Supports the development, hiring and advancement of the talent pipeline
By utilizing virtual programming and our global network, our community facilitates a geography-agnostic exchange of ideas, resources and best practices to accelerate progress and drive better outcomes in the finance industry and beyond.
In time, we hope that our efforts will both inspire and expand the talent pipeline into the investment industry, as well as support their success.
